I started with this sketch, a bit more finished than usual.
I dropped a mid tone grey as the background so I’m not painting on white. I started with the face and now I”m working on the rest of the skin.
Put down a base color for everything. While painting, I noticed that her torso was way too long, so I had to shorten that, extended her right arm as well. Also realized that her wings were too big, I shrunk and rotated them, but they might still be too big. I’m really liking it at this stage, so I’ll save it and work on another copy of it, just in case I mess it up, I”ll have this version saved. I put her chains and nylons on a separate layer which makes it easier to mess with them later.
Starting to tighten up a bit, worked on the face, gonna need to find some good leather reference for the mask. Started on one of the wings.
